Our Story
Built in 1965 by Isaac W. Butler and his wife Gertha Lee, Butler Manor stands as a testament to craftsmanship from a bygone era. Every beam, every detail of this home was carefully placed by skilled hands, creating a structure that has weathered time with grace and dignity.
Uncle Ike and Aunt Gert were united in the Holy Estate of Matrimony on February 3, 1934, beginning a marriage grounded in faith, service, and unwavering commitment. Though they had no children of their own, their home was always filled with life. They became second parents to Aunt Gert’s baby sister’s six children, helping raise them while their parents worked. Many cherished memories were formed here lessons learned, laughter shared, and love freely given.
Our comprehensive restoration honors that legacy. We’ve preserved the architectural integrity and historic character that make Butler Manor special, while thoughtfully integrating modern amenities that today’s travelers expect. The result is a home that feels both timeless and thoroughly modern.
Our Restoration Journey
From Foundation to Finishing Touches
Our restoration was guided by a simple philosophy: respect the past, serve the present. Every decision balanced historical authenticity with modern functionality, ensuring Butler Manor would offer guests the best of both worlds.
The project was meticulous, revealing layers of history while building in contemporary comforts. Original architectural elements were carefully preserved and restored, while updates were made with sensitivity to the home’s character.
